sorry if this is old news, but i just saw mccain defend obama on the nightly news. it was during a town hall and someone said that they were scared of obama. mccain said that obama

I don't think McCain is "redeemed" unless he gets rid of the commercials (such as the one basically calling Obama anti-American and is friends with terrorists) and tells Palin to tone it down.

Honestly, if this tone continues, it could be a game changing move. I think that going so negative this week, with the stock market in a freefall, was a dumb move. It got people all worked up. When things are this bad, I don't think blind optimism is the answer, but a positive civility is a must.

Hopefully the campaign learned something this week.

too little, too late. i appreciate his finger in the dam, but the tide of hate is too great. it was already there and his campaigns' affirmation of it over the late few months has only made home-grown distrust of race and diversity and associations swell to a dangerous proportion.
