Do you think it's at all odd that the woman who screeches about the Fairness Doctrine will not allow lights and/or cameras in the House of Representatives?

I'm just sayin...

>>>So it's flip flopping if a Dem does it but changing your mind if a Rep does? I get it??? <<<

It's flip flopping when you change your opinion/policy/ideals to reflect what the constituents are saying. Flip flopping to pull in more votes.

It's changing your mind when facts and/or additional information is given that allows you to see more of the big picture and what the outcome can/will be with your position on the issue.

Well, if you read my post carefully you'll see I did not say what you just said, and I gave credit to any/all who "change their minds" on the issues.

I believe there are 2 energy bills that are up for debate, one includes drilling now PLUS exploring alternate energy sources.

I'm an Obama supporter. I like his ideas and I think he comes at issues with an intelligent take on it. As far as flip-flopping, I'd rather have someone in power who was able to change their mind on issues when they receive new information rather than stubbornly sticking to what they said originally just to prove that they are right (even if they aren't). I think Bush is a good example of being stubborn just to be right. Of course if you look at his past, from when he was governor and when he was campaigning, he flip-flopped on issues too. They all do it. It's one of those things I find silly to argue over since it happens with every nominee. I've noticed that republicans seem to cry "Flip-flopper!" more than others though. Or maybe I'm wrong. It has been known to happen. :)

No, you are absoutely correct on that. I agree with you 100%. I like Obama also, I agree with most of what he has proposed. The only thing McCain has proposed that I'd be in favor of is doubling the child dependent credit. It would help my son a lot.

Yes but what if his real thoughts are nothing what he has told us until he has taken office?

That's scary enough for me!
