Do you think it's at all odd that the woman who screeches about the Fairness Doctrine will not allow lights and/or cameras in the House of Representatives?
I'm just sayin...

I do NOT mean this in any way as to insinuate an excuse for why *we* shouldn't be more environmentally conscious....but...
What do you think about countries like China and India? What part do they play in the role of destroying our environment? What should be/can be done to eliminate/reduce/counteract their contribution to the pollution problem?
Did you see on the news how are Olympic team is having to masks so that they don't breath in all the pollutants. Kind of of scary~~~
It sure is scary.. those girls/guys train for those events. They work out and eat right then get off the plane into a fog of pollution. .. course they said it was a "mist".
I disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure
"And do you really think we couldn't' come up with other means of making those products if it came down to it?"
I'm sure we could however, we are not there yet nor are we as close as some people may think.
I thought your blinky said go honkeys for a minute. I was like WTH! lol
"My fear is that we wouldn't continue searching for alternatives if oil was plentiful."
It *is* entirely possible to pass a law that says, ok, we'll drill for more oil here domestically, but by 2015 we will have 50% of alternative fuel source and technologies (cars, etc) and by 2020 we will have 75% alternative fuel source and technologies and by 2025 all new personal vehicles for sale will run on alternative fuel sources.
If we can do it with HDTV, we can certainly do it with cars.
