How many of you have election fatigue? I have to be honest I have never paid as much attention to an elections as much as I have this one.I voted but barely paid attention to the 2000&2004 elections. I watch CNN, MSNBC, and Fox constantly. I check these two electoral maps daily http://www.pollster.com/ http://www.electoral-vote.com/
Electoral-vote.com: President, Senate, House Updated Daily
Pollster.com - Political Poll Trends, Charts and Analysis. I watch Keith Olberman and Rachel Maddow everynight. In effect I have driven myself crazy by staying so tuned in. I early voted yesterday. I have seen and heard everything I need to know. Even a "surprise" wouldn't have changed my vote. This seems like the longest election in history.

'Jane the plumber' is shall be!
Elect USA Senator John McCain and Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, as our next USA President and USA Vice President 2008 -- and ever girl and every woman will at last know that we are able to lead America. That says it all.

Oh, yes -- it may be wise to go into your County Election Offices,
and Re-Register to Vote, to be certain that your votes are counted.

Pray, for our Earth and our nation, these United States of America -- that we be lead well, and stay as safe and strong as we must to survive and to thrive!

May G-d continue to bless us all.

Because OB is getting away with every single "mis" he has ever committed as well as getting rich from the people he now condemns. His party says "oh it is a mis-speak"....and everyone forgets it whn they should look into it as closley as they look into the other party. I feel worried about what is behind that colgate smile. I guess I am just tired of all the promises that we all know cannot ever be kept.
He sure IS a lawyer in all aspects of the career.

I don't listen to any of it. I haven't in years. It doesn't accomplish a thing. The President can only do what Congress allows and it is Congress that makes the laws. We had better put in a better Congress and focus on that.
These two men say what they want but in the end Congress can veto and stop anything.
My family is divided much so as each has their own opinion but one thing is for sure we need to get back to the values and morals of years past and we will see this country turn around. It has gotten worse since we laid so much of our values down. I just want to see that time come back. We need to become America again. A house divided won't stand and neither will a country.

I am feeling election fatigue because the media and other sources love to influence us towards their preferences. They are quick to draw out as much ugly as they can on the party they don't support and ignore any ugly in the party they do support. The media is supposed to be unbiased and report facts only. It would be nice to hear to positive things about the candidates rather than the typical dirt digging focus!

I would love to hear not only what the candidates are "going to do" but HOW they are going to do it. There is little mention of that!

~Oh and Obama is not negative - PLEASE!! He is continually associating McCain with Bush.~

Out of curiosity, why do you consider an assocation with Bush to be negative?

How could I not feel fatigued with the glut of negative campaign ads, particularly on the part of John McCain. I live in rural upstate NY, where McCain and the republican PACs are running multiple ads on all networks. Unfortunately, not even one ad speaks to McCains plans for the US. They are all negative ads aimed at Obama, and I'm sick and tired of it.

The best info. on their policies has come from the televised debates as well as via their websites on the internet. You can't get good information from a sound clip or a 30 second ad.

And I believe most people vote based on what they know about a candidate's policies. Perhaps that's why we're hearing so little of this from John McCain.

In any case, I will be proud to cast my vote on election day and be done with the campaign.
