If you have facebook, Are you linked to pages that support one candidate over another? What about ads or headers that read something like, If you think Obama is a liar click like? Similar stuff about Romney. Who is linked to VP Ryan page? There is a conservative page and there is an I am a liberal page. Chik Fil A had gotten in on it all when piles of fans clicked like to their page, etc. etc.
This junk is a big turn off and I am especially annoyed when Isee family and friends post (and like) things that are totally opposite of the way they live their lives..... Facebook has become a forum for political hate and it's sad, I can't wait until this election is over, I hope this stuff will go away too!

I understand what you mean.
I signed up for postings from the Coffee Party which is more for the moderates and liberal leaning point of views. Interesting POVs from there. I have friends who really seem to be gunning for voting Obama out of office. But all you can see in their posts is the sound bites from the media. With no true explination of how they truly feel.
And of course I get posting from the Green Party because my inlaws are highly involved with them. Hard to explain the Green Party \. But basically they are a more liberal leaning group. Feel that Obama and Romney are interchangable and that nothing is going to change with either Dems or Republicans in office. I know they have their own canidate running Jill Stein. They also favored the single payer system originally proposed. Against havingt he troops in th eMiddle East continuing the wars with no end in site
I try not to debate politcs with anybody on Facebook. esp since I know the people and it is hard to tell people that their POV are not matching yours. Or that you are nto happy with teh attacks. I know I should but again easier to post opinions here where I don't know someone and know they are generally nice people compared to my "regular " friends. So when this season is all over I can go back to just aving friends. You know what I mean
Aside from occasional things on women's rights, I don't post pol stuff to my wall, I save it for groups and discussion.
