I think your "bad feeling" is most likely quite accurate. That's been one of my points all along. What he says is belied by what he does.

We'll see just how far the words carry into action. I won't hold my breath.

Your actually wrong in your assumption about not being pleased or happy with what he does.

--The moral war is really where is going to have to step up and make an effort to appease everyone. And again, I ask...what exactly is it going to hurt in appointing at least ONE non-conservative judge to represent ALMOST HALF the population? Is it really going to send the President to haites? Doubtful.--

The balance in the supreme court is pretty even right now. Renquest (sp?) has throat cancer and will most likley retire very soon. He is one of the conservatitive judges and to replace him with a moderate or a liberal would throw off the balance. Now if/when other judges retire there will be more to think about. Bush nominated a number of judges who were pro-life but had shown through their work that they would strictly uphold the law. The liberal senators refused to believe that someone could uphold the law even if they didn't agree with it on a personal level. Judges shouldn't be making law they should only be interperting it. I believe that Bush's goal is to find people who aren't activist one way or the other.

I feel like I'm following you around the board going "what she said" but...hear, hear! That was an amazing post and articulates, again, some of my concerns and those of many others.

What exactly is a non-conservative judge? Kerry said he was going to use Roe v Wade as a litmus test, is that what you are talking about? (honest questions, btw, no sarcasm intended)
