I think it's ridiculous that schools would let such material be passed out.... Is this something the schools are teaching there or something? Flyers sent home with my kids relate to school topics, field trip permssion slips, etc. I can understand the controversy.....

Yikes!

I guess if it fits into the school's criteria for materials that can be sent home, then there's not much to be done, other than change the criteria. As a parent, I think that's what I'd be suggesting.

To play devil's advocate... Should Boy Scouts not be allowed to send home flyers because they don't accepts gay leaders?

I do believe BSA should not have access to public facilities because of their discrimination, discrimination against children no less.

This Rolling Stone article fits right in with this topic.

It's long, but it's worth the time to read it. This is what happens when sanctimonious jackasses are allowed to hold sway in our schools.
