Why would you bring something irrelevant up like "children" ?
We don't have children in the armed forces. Unless you're one of those over-protective mom types who views their 18-19 year old as a child. But if they're in the military, you might want to stop thinking of them as "children".
>>There is a difference between generic foul language and suggestive language. The rest of societal work environments have had to change, rooting out such behaviour. It is not acceptable to justify it as a male bastion or refuge.<<
No other job on earth is like the military so IRT crude language I am defiantly going to cut them some slack. We are dealing with individuals who are isolated for long periods of time under high stress circumstances. They can't do what a person in a normal job can to relieve the stress.
When I have a bad day at work I can come home and vent, go for a run after work, go with my kids to the park to relax or even have sex to redirect all that negative energy into something positive. These men and women do not have those options so to expect them to adhere to the same rules civilians do is ridiculous. They have to have somewhere to let the steam of and often their mouth is the only option so of course not everything coming out of it is going to be PC.
