Beck is no different than any of the left wing pundits in getting his point across from what I have seen. I think that people are going to do what the are going to do because they are that way. I don't place blame on the environmentalists, Michael Moore, Maddox, etc when a lib goes crazy. People are personally responsible for their actions, to place the blame on someone else, a public figure, is an excuse for someone's irrational behavior.

@ graybean I'm on the wrong computer to be able to quote. But in reference to your statment that people are personally responsible for their actions, I would add they are also personally responsible for the words that come out of their mouths. While you may not be responsible for the actions of an irrational person, when you speak for a living, it's disingenuous to say that words aren't powerful and that you don't think they will influence behaviour. It's irresponsible not to know your audience and their likely reaction to your words. I think many people on "news" shows are marching a line between illegal and ill adviced. It may not be ilegal for to whip up emotions and fear the way he does, but it's ill adviced and perhaps immoral. I think the standard for major TV news personalities should be higher than "not illegal".

I disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure

Anthony,

I think "tone it down" means that one may speak so long as he says what I believe to be true and am in agreement with. If I am not in agreement with
