She's got a very illogical argument...that women, because of their fertility, are deficient and need fixing. Bull. I used birth control to regulate my fertility, so I didn't bring any children into the world until I was married, had a stable job, home, and other resources to be able to raise them properly.

I had to stop when she got to what her idea of transgender means. I stopped at 2 minutes.

I found it to be incredibly insulting and not worth my time to listen to the rest of it. She's just the type of person who thinks birth control should be banned. Those people aren't worth my time...unless it is to fight them at the legislative level.

Wow... thirty seconds in and I could drive a truck through the holes in her arguments.

No, we don't need pills to be made whole. What we do need is people out of our pants, allowing us to decide individually what works for us. She would legislate an end to choice, the right of a woman to choose for herself, turning it over to society. Exactly how does that keep any of us whole, Gloria?

Contraception is an option. No one forces any of us to take it, we decide for ourselves. Unwanted pregnancy does not make us whole, it does not give us sought after options, although it creates new ones, ones her side wishes to curtail.

Now she rants on into gender and goes after me as a transwoman. My gosh, this is just a social conservative rant, and... it makes me all kinds of crazy, because it is *all about control*, taken from us, turned over to society.

Ugh and barf.

"The enemy among us" Um, jamblessedthree, I don't consider you the enemy because you disagree with me. Am I your enemy for holding a different point of view? I realise this is Gloria speaking, but I'd be interested in your answer.

Now she's ranting on women as priests. #devoted to patriarchy

And the other side is, let's keep government in my pants because I can't make these decisions that surround sex by myself, Victim, Wahh.. I do think society has created a lot of its own problems, I am whole so I don't know what you're asking there, Nobody is telling you how you should live. But let's create all these new laws to protect us.... Phooey!

The reason we need these "new laws to protect us" is because laws are being passed to restrict access to reproductive care. If you're not familiar with the latest nonsense in Arizona, there was almost enough support in the legislature to require women to tell their employers what they why they were using birth control pills. Michell Duggar (a profoundly uninformed person if ever there was one) thinks that overpopulation is "a lie". She and her kind need to take basic math, learn about the dangers of exponential population growth...and stop trying to prevent the rest of us from making decisions about our own bodies.

How is the government in your pants now? What exactly is the government telling you that you can or cannot do with your own body?

Someone who's words are powerful, as you put it, would make me interested in what she was saying and see her side of what she is discussing, even if I disagree with her.
