Late DW was cofounder of youngest DD's Brownie troop and coleader of eldest DD's Girl Scout troop. I started a Girls Scout scholarship fund in her name 12 years ago that is now the largest benevolent endowment in the district. I'd have to look up the numbers but I think something like 3 dozen girls have utilized it thus far for leadership training.
None of which can possibly be true, of course, because we all know that only conservatives give of their time or money while liberals lay around on welfare waiting for the government to do everything.
