That the British version of Vanity Fair is going to do an article that Obama may not like.

Hey, isn't that what you just did by implying Senator McCain was an elitist because he didn't know off the top of his head how many properties he owned? I find that almost as bad as simply not voting for Senator Obama because he's black or voting for him merely because he's black.

I find it's better to take all that sort of rhetoric for what it's worth--usually not much. There are always two sides to every story and it's unfair to immediately think the negative is true about someone who is competing against the person you favor.

Frankly I don't put a whole lot of stock in comments like this regarding Senator Obama even though I favor Senator McCain (primarily because of the much greater experience factor). I can favor one over the other without needing to assassinate the character of the one I don't favor. I think Obama has potential. He just should have waited until he'd had more experience and accomplishments to fall back on.

So frankly I'm agreeing with you here. It's unfair to judge without all the facts. It's unfair to anybody you're judging.

ITA, we don't know all the facts about his brother. Maybe he didn't want anything to do w/ Obama, maybe he is mentally off, we don't know.

Also I think it's pretty unfair to judge Edwards, nobody knows the whole story on his relationship w/ his wife. Maybe it is a marriage of convenience, maybe they haven't slept in the same bed for years. Nobody really knows what goes on behind closed doors in a marriage so we shouldn't judge, IMO.

You know I don't have to know much more about Edwards who is a scumbag in my book. Anyone who would dare run for the highest office in the nation and betray the public trust in the way he did is unforgivable. It has less to do with betraying his lovely wife which is horrible in and of itself than it does with betraying the hundreds of Americans who supported him as a man of honor and integrity.

He's a loser of the most unforgivable kind.

It's not about his relationship with his wife.

SO in the Obama's brother case and in the whole McCain elitism case (or didn't you have an issue with that and have passed judgement prematurely?)--I agree that it's ridiculous to judge or pay any mind to such nonsense. But regarding Edwards--scumbag. No question.

I agree that Edwards is a scumbag, but Obama is equally scummy in my book.

Since Obama IMMEDIATELY came out with an ad denouncing McCain because he couldn't remember how many homes he owned, saying that McCain doesn't *relate* to the common man or understand their needs, perhaps he should look in his own closet.
