And again, I wasn't talking about Serial killers. I already know that they don't regret what they did, which is why they do what they do. Terrorists don't regret what they do, which is why they do what they do. Why should we allow them to come to a prison near us when we already have the serial killers?
I think you raise a good point. There are some who are so wrapped up in thier faith....they loose sight of reality..and the rights and wrongs of society. JamesTown and Jim Jones.....The Branch Dividians.....religious sects that allow 14 year old girls to marry and bear children.....abortion clinic bombers.....all devout in thier faith...and totally out of touch with reality. You can simply convince some people to do anything....jsut give them the right motivation and surroundings. Does that mean they are innocent? Nope. (imho) Can they ever reform? Certianly. But they should also be punished for thier actions. I think it takes de-programming for sure...but there are some who can become functioning rational people again. Do I think we should send terrorists free on the hope that they will get better? Certianly not. I do think I can see why these people become what they become...but it certainly does not excuse them from thier actions. My apologies if this sounds rambly...lol.
>>People can be drawn into an ideology when they are young, for ex., and participate in violent actions, yet later change their minds, even change their minds about both the ideology *and their actions.
There are child molesters, serial killers, and mass murders living in Georgia prisons. They scare the heck out of me!Accused terrorists, you know they ones that haven't been tried for their crimes in almost 8 years, are behind bars. The ones that are walking the street are what really scares me. Are you sure your neighbor isn't a terrorist??

To clarify:
If they are tried and found guilty, they will have to be in prison somewhere.
~Terrorists don't regret what they do, which is why they do what they do~
In all fairness, you don't know that.

I do believe it's true.
