Rick Santorum has a knack for sounding antediluvian.

You and I both know that the cost of college has risen drastically as has the cost of living since we both have gone, working our way through. On the one hand, people complain about students not getting through in four years for a bachelor's degree, but on the other hand think they should be able to pay their way through. It's simply not logical.

Perhaps people need to plan their education according to their own personal budget instead of the government's.

Since when is financial aid a "free ride"? We have to pay back all of our financial aid.

Your personal experience cannot be extrapolated as being the case at all institutions of higher education.

Kathleen Parker (with whom I do not often agree) recently wrote an op-ed.

I liken Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin to Nancy Pelosi and Barney Frank. How on earth did any of these people become popular "leaders" in any party?

I went to college in the late 1980s and up until 2005. My experiences don't mirror yours (except for the high cost of text books). The only time there was a professor injecting any kind of personal viewpoints was from the Bircher who taught U.S. History. That was a hoot.

The personhood people would like to see that happen and are working very hard in many states to get their legislation passed. Rick Santorum is a personhood guy. He also finds birth control to be evil and gives people a license to "do things in the sexual realm."

As for gas prices, what do you think any president can do about them?

The Democratic party is not the same as the Socialist party. Two separate entities with two separate platforms.

Bush ignored the inconvenient fact that Osama bin Ladin became radicalized over the issue of U.S. troops ("infidels") being stationed on what Muslims considered holy soil in Saudi Arabia during GWI

Holy smokes! A Bin Ladin apologist. Yeah, it was us, we made him do it.

Every once in a while the left's true feelings come through. 9/11 was our fault. Good grief.
