Rick Santorum has a knack for sounding antediluvian.

If you are referring to any posts in this thread, NOBODY blamed Bush for the 9/11 attacks.

By chance, are you using a mobile device (tablet or smart phone) to post?

I have taught at the university level for twenty five years. It is true that more professors are liberal than conservative, but if you are being graded on your political views, you have avenues of appeal and you should pursue them. Of course there are many students who get poor grades because their work isn't very good and they take the easy route and justify the grade to themselves on the grounds that "the professor graded me down because I disagreed with him." And in a good-sized college/university there will be plenty of intellectual diversity among the faculty.

I fail to understand how anybody can blame Bush for the terrorist attacks either.. 9/11 happened less than a year after he took office. Remind me how long those hijackers alone were on our own soil..

My own theory is that golden opportunity was planned way before Bush and when Clinton was in office. Our country became the laughing stock of the world and we were very vulnerable to worldly troubles because of all the attention he was getting for screwing around. The date 911 had an iconic meaning beneath it too, it just happened to occur when Bush was in office.

Actually it's been less than forty years--I said mid 1970's. Small point perhaps but let's stick to facts.

As for "indoctrination" in the YouTube clip, perhaps you didn't notice that Santorum was focused on faith systems not being carried from higher education by over 60% of attendees. One could argue, and I WILL argue it, that religion is largely a matter of "indoctrination". But Santorum doesn't consider it such and claims that higher education is "indoctrination". Huh. Guess he never heard about the Enlightenment or thought about a world in which faith systems were paramount, or the religious wars which were rife for centuries.
