Let's state facts.  Do not pay taxes is not true.  Wages are subject to withholding.  Therefore even if the person received a refund they do PAY taxes!  The refund is for overpayment of taxes.  The government handouts are declining as we debate.  Yes, there needs to be a safety net and for retired crippled etc.,people a way to afford to live.  Unless you are advocating throwing them into the gutter.

Now let's look at "smaller government".  What that means is letting the states pick up the slack so the states will have to up their taxes.  If one thought that they would have to pay less taxes that is not so.  If you think there is a howl now; wait until your state has to take on all the fiscal responsibilities that the Federal governmet does!

I am saying that those he is describing as not paying taxes and living on entitlements are just as likely to vote republican.

This country is not in dire shape.  The Global economy is in dire shape.  The reason for that is the greed of the past decades that everyone failed to see or restrain.  The world has changed as much as when makers of buggy whips had to find new occupations as many of the employment classes will have to find new employment.  That means re-training.  The world changes and we too  adapt along with the changes.

Romney does indeed seem to stand with Israel. Given that Bibi Netanyahu seems hellbent on sucking us into ANOTHER war (this one with Iran), I cannot see that as a plus point. Heck, even some Israelis are having second thoughts. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-18560_162-57511491/the-spymaster-meir-dagan-on-irans-threat/

People who talk about allies or enemies would do well to remember that both world wars became "world" wars because of alliances. When your "friends" have the potential to instigate deadly and costly conflict, possibly nuclear in nature, the question arises. With "friends" like that, who needs enemies?!

WW1 was a family fight!  Had queen Victoria lived WW1 probably would not have occurred.  It is that the current Israeli leader wants to strike at Iran but cannot without the help of the US.  We do not need to be involved in more in the Middle East.  Many of the people there have little education and holds on the belief systems that they grew up with.  The technology has changed a lot. The leaders of the major military nations have been very strong in not letting emotions of the populaces run into war.  It is to the credit of modern nations that war has not broke out over mistaken thought.

I myself am glad that the US government is not racing to the brink of wars that we are not prepared for nor have the will to prosecute such a war.

P.S. The matter of WMD in Iraq was because VX was given to Iraq.  We knew that they had received those weapons but did not know that they had used them up.

Yes the world changes, so we need new leadership to unburden us from the constraints this current administration has put on us, so our economy can grow.

Doesn't Netanyahu continually talk about a red line in regards to Iran? War isn't the first step, but clearly defined consequences should be. The US should always stand by it's one true ally in the Midde East, it's unclear where we stand now with Israel. It's an upside down world under Obama.

What constraints are you talking about?

LOL.  Romney is making a case, but it is a case against Obama and his land of food stamps and entitlements.  Studies support Romenys assertion but I guess Democrats and Obama supporters don't think it is a problem that more people are on welfare and foodstamps than ever before.

This is an opportunity to debate these issues and Romney will be pointing out that this is the Democrats philosophy of entitlements and that big government is the answer.  This is a losing issue for Obama.  Bring it on!!!

Oh, I don't believe Romney is clueless.  In fact, I think this is a golden opportunity for Romney to hammer Obama on his failure as a leader and how more people are on welfare and foodstamps than ever before.  Bitter?  Naaaa, I think the only ones who are bitter are the ones who are mad at Romney for stating the truth and  also the ones who won't vote for him "no matter what".
