I'm not trying to be smart, or snarky, or anything like that.

I just wanted to state that I don't think the rich should be taxed more b/c I think I'm entitled to their money. However, there is a HUGE discrepancy between the rich and the middle class and the middle class is quickly disappearing. We are in danger of only having two classes, the rich and the poor and that is not good for our economy. When the middle class do well, our country as a whole does better. If the lower and middle classes' wages had been rising as the rich have been benefiting from tax cuts then it would be a different story. However, that is not the case. Wages have not kept up with inflation and it's obvious that a trickle-down economy is not working.

I don't quite understand your logic. It seems as though even though you would personally like the US to withdraw from Iraq, you're bothered by Obama's plan b/c he has not specifically given a "plan B". Am I right? If that is the case, then it would appear that you support McCain on this matter only by a technicality. That technicality being that

"Would you like it if someone came to your bank account and said "you make too much, now I'm going to take some of your money away and give it to the guy down the road"

To me, you're not being asked to give it to "the guy down the road" but to give it to your country. Local, state, federal taxes dont just go to "handouts". They pay for police, fire, education, infrastructure... Why wouldn't you want to put money into your community, to make people healthier, to improve education (which in turn makes the economy stronger)? I dont get it.

I don't think there has to be a specific "what then". As with any goal, if you are unable to

i know you weren't asking me, but here's my answer...

we all understand that taxes fund infastructure...however...the cost / payments to infrastructure are not proposed to change...the things that are changing are wealth will be "redistributed"....

BO plans to take more from one group, to give more to another group.... costs of other programs you mentioned would remain unaffected....robin hood
