House and Senate Majority

Just wondering, there's a good chance that the GOP could win both the house and the senate majority.

If Bush wins, do you think it serves the country to have one party in charge?

IMO...I like the balance. In an *ideal* world, I would prefer a bipartisan president. I just prefer more balance in the house and senate in hopes that both ideals from each party get heard and have a chance, especially if they are good ones.

Don't think the GOP will win but that is different issue.

If Bush wins reelection, I think it would be terrible for the country to have the house and senate all leaning GOP. It would not provide any balance and would leave the people in US with only one side of things being taken care of. Hopefully, this will not become an issue. It is also possible the Senate may move towards becoming a majority of democrats, even if presidency does not. So hopefully, one or the other will give some diversity to our government.

I hope you're right. I don't pay too much attention to polls but I was watching the local news and they were predicting a "GOP Sweep"...I have to turn the TV off, I can't take all this last minute &*() and it's beginning to stress me out.... : )

I think the GOP is going to keep their control of Congress, but that's just a feeling.
