WOW! so you have a constitutional right to shoot someone in the face as long as you are defending someone but hey,a woman has no right to her body?

Well, you do have a right to bear arms, if that's what you are trying to say. If you are referring to abortion, don't waste your time, it's not there. And if it's not there, the states have that power. Quite simple.

"Resist, we much. We must, and we much. About that, be committed."

How do you feel about attempting to limit a physician's education so that OB/GYNs won't be educated to take care of certain conditions that affect a woman's health?

Oh, are we pretending that that is what you care about here?

First of all, that was an extremely insulting response to my valid question.

There probably are some conservative couples who would put their words into action. Many have already done so, but...... There are also plenty of self-righteous, judgmental, and often ignorant types who adhere to the "do as I say, not as I do" school of ideology. They don't know the specifics of a pregnant woman's situation but are quite sure they DO know she doesn't have a right to make any decision which would flout THEIR beliefs. Weird stuff.

It's in keeping with other policies that try to prevent Federal funding for abortions.

Part of training in OB/GYN is being able to perform a variety of surgical procedures, one of them being dilatation and curettage, in order to adequately treat their patients. Leaving that out of their training is like neglecting to train a general surgeon to remove gallbladders or an orthopedic surgeon to be able to perform open reduction/internal fixations.

That's ridiculous. It is a necessary part of training in OB/GYN. That's like telling someone in the sciences that they need to find extra funds to learn evolution because a bunch of religious nuts don't believe in it and therefore government funding for education shouldn't be used to teach that aspect.
