...and just as obviously, most med students aren't Federally subsidized...so legislation of this type should have very little impact on your doctor's ability to treat you.>>

Med students themselves aren't usually federally subsidized, but they have a ton of student loans that have to be paid back.

Teaching hospitals, where doctors get their training, are federally subsidized as I stated before. Conservative women need OB/GYN care and D&Cs as well and I'm sure they'd be horrified if they knew that their doctors weren't going to be trained to take care of them properly.

Please tell me...how many teaching hospitals are for-profit?

I got a kick out of the "free to do research" wording which was immediately followed by qualifiers about the nature of that "freedom".

Women choose to terminate pregnancies for different reasons, at different stages of pregnancy.

First of all, that was an extremely insulting response to my valid question.

You're insulted? Oh, please! I'm not playing that game with you.

I don't think there's any "game" involved on iluvkrat's part.

When somebody accuses another of "pretending", it's quite unlikely that accusation will be seen in a positive light.

"Game playing" comments are no better. I suggest you look at the "pretending" post. It was pulled for TOS review. Maybe you didn't notice.......
