How will your life really change?

Assuming that the person you support for this election ends up NOT winning, how do you think that will change your life over the next 4 years?

Unfortunately this economic situation is going to continue to worsen before it gets better. A bailout is coming and will likely have unforeseen repercussions not considered as always happens when government interferes where they don't belong.
That being said and knowing how things go in cycles, four years from now things will be worse or not much different and it will reflect poorly (unfairly no doubt) on the current president who shoulders so much unwarranted blame due to the populations lack of understanding of how things really work.
So knowing this in advance, I see it lose/lose no matter who wins. If Barack Obama wins I believe his proposals will wreak further havoc on our economy and because he really won't have as much control as he thinks it won't be as bad as it ultimately could have been (a good thing) but in any case he won't be re-elected because people will be afraid by then. He will fail and instead of it being blamed on the scenario he walked into (at least mostly), it will be blamed on him personally. I don't think it would be a good thing for the country to have the first so-called black president fail but that's what will happen.
On the other hand, it will be a good thing for the republicans who have a better philosophy to get a second chance to do things better (if only they'd stick to their principals this time).
If John McCain wins, same same. Except then a democrat will be more likely to win the whitehouse in four years. Things will be picking up by then and so they likely will get the credit which should really be traced back to the previous president which it won't and then I see them screwing it all up again.
So long term--which is worse for America in the long run? A sluggish economy or a failed black presidency? I lean towards the economy. A failed black presidency is still a black presidency which is a positive thing. Maybe next time the black candidate will be a republican and then we can get things right!
What a racist remark! You couldn't have said failed Democratic Presidency, that would have been a lot better, but obviously you needed to use the black President.
Again, just frightening....
Given that I'm probably voting for Barr, a candidate that I am not voting for winning approaches mathematical certainty.
Regardless of who wins, I see the economy for the next four years being worse.
I don't think you read her statement the same as me ....
she's saying things are so bad whoever wins is gonna have one hell of a time being ~successful~ which is a shame b/c if Obama wins our history making first black president will ~fail~.
~If Obama wins, nations that don't matter to our security (i.e., Western Europe) will like us more~
I am curious about this comment, so wondered if you would clarify.
>>>because a democrat president coupled with a democrat congress will be more inclined to both tax and spend.<<<
As opposed to Republican president and congress, who will just be more inclined to both spend and...spend some more.
>>>If Obama wins, nations that don't matter to our security (i.e., Western Europe) will like us more, Iran will doubtless use their first nuke on Israel, (if Israel doesn't attack Iran between the election and Obama being sworn in).<<<
Really?
I am saying that whether the Western Europeans "like us more" doesn't really matter.
