Is anyone else watching the RNC tonight?
(I will totally and completely admit that the RNC is soooo not "hip.") :)

I agreed with him on several points as well, although I supported Ron Paul.
Guliani is getting them going.
I still do too and my daughters asked can we go down and hugthebee!
We're watching the RNC here. I'm a Democrat and an Obama supporter, but feel that there is common ground that I can find with almost all Americans. I was surprised to find myself enjoying Gov. Huckabee's speech. He did a fine job. Though I'm opposed to his stance on almost every issue, I can understand how so many found him appealing.
I thought Gov. Romney's message was confusing. He spent the first part of the speech talking about how we're one America and then spent the second half of the speech condemning Democrats. Was his message that we'll all one America as long as we're Republicans?
Mayor Giuliani did well in attack dog mode, though there were moments in it when I had to giggle. His mention of other people claiming Gov. Palin's experience as mayor of Wasilla didn't count because it was a podunk town (or something along those lines) would have been more believable if it hadn't come from the former mayor of NYC.
Another speaker that struck me with her eloquence was the Gov. of Hawaii, Linda Lingle. She'll be someone to watch in the future.
I had hoped to get a sense of a certain sobriety and depth in hearing Gov. Palin's speech, something I've found in Sen. Obama. I didn't hear that tonight. She did a fair job of describing herself and her background, but that portion seemed more like the speech you would give at a local conference or meeting. The portion where she described Sen. McCain seemed much stronger.
I did not support Huckabee in the primaries, but I thought his speech was one of the best I heard tonight. I was disappointed with Romney's speech.
Yes, I wish
