"I support McCain because..."

There's been a lot of negativity on this board recently and I think that our reasons for why we support the candidate we do has been pushed aside. Often times when I come to this board I see mostly posts about Obama, both negative and positive. It's been pointed out before that it appears that Obama supporters post pro-Obama information whereas many McCain supporters post anti-Obama material rather than pro-McCain information. It gives the impression that many McCain supporters are only voting for him b/c he's NOT Obama. I know that certainly isn't the reason most of you are voting for McCain so I'd like to know, what is the reason? What specifically about McCain has made him earn your vote. Please refrain from making anti-Obama statements. I don't what to hear why you think McCain is better than Obama or why you won't vote for Obama. I want to know why, in your opinion, McCain should be President. Please be as specific as possible rather than just stating, "I like his economic plan" or "national security reasons". TIA

  • I appreciate reality, even if it's not pretty I feel like there are some areas he could pretty up, win votes and doesn't ... and I appreciate that.
  • I am tired of a partisan government and believe McCain when he says he is too, I believe his record of crossing the party lines speaks for itself.
  • I am ready for government reform I think the entire system needs an overhaul, and I think McCain does too.

I'm curious what you mean by "handling energy effectively"

only if it's not going to be debated since this thread isn't supposed to be about that

You know, I almost hit "edit' to tell you that specifically I would not be debating it.

  • I appreciate reality, even if it's not pretty
  • I am tired of a partisan government
  • I am ready for government reform
  • I am ready for spending to get under control
  • I am ready for the job market to get back on track
  • I value personal responsibility and honesty

  • I think we would all agree about those things, but they are pretty general.

it's kind of hard to let go on this board with that to be honest ... we're so attacked that I feel so hesitant.

I edited rather than posting again ... prolly still not the detail you all want and I might try again later.

I'm not feeling my best (haven't all week) and tend to feel better in the afternoons .. and I may end up editing again if I later read it and think 'huh'??
