"I support McCain because..."

There's been a lot of negativity on this board recently and I think that our reasons for why we support the candidate we do has been pushed aside. Often times when I come to this board I see mostly posts about Obama, both negative and positive. It's been pointed out before that it appears that Obama supporters post pro-Obama information whereas many McCain supporters post anti-Obama material rather than pro-McCain information. It gives the impression that many McCain supporters are only voting for him b/c he's NOT Obama. I know that certainly isn't the reason most of you are voting for McCain so I'd like to know, what is the reason? What specifically about McCain has made him earn your vote. Please refrain from making anti-Obama statements. I don't what to hear why you think McCain is better than Obama or why you won't vote for Obama. I want to know why, in your opinion, McCain should be President. Please be as specific as possible rather than just stating, "I like his economic plan" or "national security reasons". TIA

Thanks for posting - and thanks to you too Sandy! :-) I wanted to ask you a question, if that's ok, regarding one of the reasons you gave for supporting McCain. You stated that you wanted a business-friendly candidate who would bring back jobs to our shores and I was wondering - how specifically do you think McCain is going to do that? I'm just curious b/c I have not heard him mention closing the tax loopholes that actually reward businesses for taking jobs overseas. And although I realize he wants to lower the corporate tax rate from 35% to 25%, that is still much higher than many other countries, particularly Ireland which has a tax rate of 11%.

I don't support McCain. I'm holding my nose and voting for the lesser of two evils. Yet I believe McCain will put the country first, and not his own maniacal agenda. Sorry to say, I think BOTH candidates suck donkey toenails. McCain just sucks them a little less than Obama does.

I've been sitting here trying to think of how to word my response best so that it makes sense.
