I wonder what would happen if.......

.... a republican strategist, or a conservative commentator, on Fox News Channel had said that Pres. BHO was liked because he was viewed by the democrat party as a "black man who knows his place"?

How much attention would that comment have drawn and in how much of the media?

How much outcry would there be?

How many would be loudly calling for apologies from the network, the show and the host of said show?

How many would vilify the person who made the statement?

I wonder....and I wonder why not.

Er, the meme is the lame STREAM media, but Colbert, who works for the Comedy Channel, has a good point.

File this with the fact that President Lyndon Johnson was a Republican.

Except that Johnson was a Democrat.

Remember how all those Republicans in the south switched to the Democratic party following the Civil Rights act? That's why the southern states are so liberal today...

Liberal?

"suffice it to say that examining your sources demonstrates the direct line from the racist, socialist Democrat party of today to the racist, socialist Democrat party of yore."

File this with the fact that President Lyndon Johnson was a Republican. Remember how all those Republicans in the south switched to the Democratic party following the Civil Rights act? That's why the southern states are so liberal today...strongholds of conservatism like Massachusetts were fortunately able to prevent the United States from having its first black president ever, John McCain. Whew. And whatever else you said.

Sorry, i lost my point by point reply...but suffice it to say that examining your sources demonstrates the direct line from the racist, socialist Democrat party of today to the racist, socialist Democrat party of yore.

No, I'm afraid that's just a myth Democrats try to perpetuate in order to deflect scrutiny of their despicable past.

Um, no. The ideologies of the parties switched. That's a well-known fact.

That's a nice try at deflection, but unfortunately for Democrats a direct line can be drawn from the Democrat Party of old to the Democrat Party of today...along with their inclinations towards racism and violence.
