The polls are tightening even though they've showed Obama ahead for a few weeks.
But I think McCain just might pull it off.

I can agree with you there.
<should be an amazing "slam dunk" for the Democrats.....If the Democrats manage to lose this, it says clearly that what the Democrats are selling, the public isn't buying.>>
No, it says that people are racists, even as they lose their homes and their jobs and their futures.
First, you are generalizing in your post b/c you just say "Obama supporters" where I said the words "most" or "many" when discussing supporters. Secondlly, your post does not apply to me. I have never accused anyone of being racist for supporting McCain. And I have on several occassions, both IRL and on this board, asked McCain supporters why they are voting for him. I have never asked them why aren't they voting for Obama. I think I've made it perfectly clear from my posts that I believe everyone is entitled to vote for whomever they like. But I have become increasingly frustrated by the tone of many posts on this board b/c,

You wouldn't be a sore loser.
Judith Werner mentioned this essay in her column a few weeks ago http://edge.org/3rd_culture/haidt08/haidt08_index.html.
When you attend the church for over 20 years, and claim the pastor is your "spiritual mentor" and you name one of your books after one of his sermons, I'd say you'd have to know pretty well where he stands...
But there are other explanations for that.
The economy is bad, sure. But the solutions that Obama is offering, according to simple economics, will make the economy worse.
