"Obama's platform rests on higher taxes, weakening the military, appeasing our enemies, pandering to global interests at the expense of American sovereignty, more late term abortions, catering to the homosexual agenda, and expanded gun ownership restrictions."

Higher taxes: May want to take a look at what Sen McCain has proposed: “Sen. McCain’s tax cuts would primarily benefit those with very high incomes. … Many fewer households at the bottom of the income distribution would get tax cuts.”

Here is what Sen Obama has proposed: “Sen. Obama offers much larger tax breaks to low- and middle-income taxpayers and would increase taxes on high-income taxpayers. The largest tax cuts, as a share of income, would go to those at the bottom of the income distribution, while taxpayers with the highest income would see their taxes rise significantly.”

Weakening the military, appeasing our enemies, pandering to global interests at the expense of American sovereignty.... I would like to see hard proof on any of these.

Yes, I'm aware of it. I was trying to politely suggest that those of us who are interested in real issues not rise to this sort of bait, lol!

Does it change your opinion of Obama to know that his mother was 100% white?

Why would it?

He's an inspiration to them. Haven't you ever been inspired by someone?

Sure, but never a politician.

The Ayers association alone isn't enough to make me not vote for someone, but it doesn't help. Obama just hasn't surrounded himself with the best of people. I just find Obama's past to be shady IMO.
