Our troops fight for our freedoms...this guy is just playing off the Koran burning media hoopla.

It almost sounded to me like the Imam was making a threat? Did you pick that up in his words and tone? I don't think he did himself any favors with that interview in his attempt to "build bridges".

I totally agree...I also think it is going to make the support to move the mosque even stronger.

The project had been given the approval of the community more than once.

It's like all of these tempests in teapots.

They did change the name to Park51.

Regarding the Qur'an burning, I think that our leaders are being very vocal to make it perfectly clear that most Americans find this "stunt" (good word, Mr. President) appalling.

This Pastor has gotten way to much attention. Heard on CNN that now other countries are saying that violence will break out because of this guy. Now all Americans in other countries are at risk.

Our troops are already in a lot of danger in other countries. This is just putting more focus on them.

This Pastor is full of Hate. He has no love for those who are different from him. He needs to accept others for who they are.

As far as the Muslim center in NY. People have dug their heels in and there will be no resolution to this.

Well, hopefully God opens his heart.

There's got to be a resolution to the mosque issue.

Sometimes when these "religious" people do stupid stuff in the name of their god, I wonder if religion has much merit. It almost seems as if religion is the root of hate and evil. What if people didn't believe in a god and didn't feel the need to defend their version of god or persuade others to believe in their version of god? Better yet, what if people believed in a benevolent god, but they didn't believe in getting together with others to praise that god? What if belief in a god or gods was independently come upon based upon one's own independent observation? Hopefully the god that this preacher prays to is the real God and helps him open his heart.

I don't think it matters who the pastor prays to.
