Induced Infant Liability Act

Jill Stanek, a registered delivery-ward nurse who was the prime mover behind the legislation after she witnessed aborted babies’ being born alive and left to die, testified twice before Obama in support of the Induced Infant Liability Act bills. She also testified before the U.S. Congress in support of the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.
Stanek told me her testimony “did not faze” Obama.
In the second hearing, Stanek said, “I brought pictures in and presented them to the committee of very premature babies from my neonatal resuscitation book from the American Pediatric Association, trying to show them unwanted babies were being cast aside. Babies the same age were being treated if they were wanted!”
But Obama voted against this bill in the Illinois senate and killed it in committee. Twice, the Induced Infant Liability Act came up in the Judiciary Committee on which he served. At its first reading he voted “present.” At the second he voted “no.”

You are assuming these people are unmarried and further assuming the being married elements financial hardships. These are some further tidbits from the bible.

E-1 with less than 4 months of service

So either you have a job which adds money to the budget.....or you stay home and don't have day care.
You and I both know that MOST E-1s are 18 year olds, fresh out of bootcamp (crimeny, my dh was an E-2 because of prior college education) and aren't trying to support a family of 4 or more.
And FWIW...I live in Southern California, a family of 7, and I've always spent around $400 a month on food. There is no way you can tell me a single 18 year old guy (or girl) needs to spend $400 a month on food.
AND...we both know that the military has subsidy programs for childcare ;)
I agree...the pay sucks!!! But lets be honest with the audience Lisa.
"One thing that I have never understood about this procedure is if the woman can be induced and the fetus partially delivered and killed just before full delivery, why can't they just be delivered and then both mother and baby be given the best possible chance? "
I'd be interested in seeing the answer to this fair question! (PS: Killing time...Bob's flight got delayed...waaaahhh!!!!)
If you are a single mom or dad....you still have someone else who helped to make these children.
That still doesn't account for the fact that the typical E-3 with less than 1 year in service is not married or a single parent.
Sue~
And in the military, *IF* there was a single E-1 (and even E-2 or E-3 for that matter!) with kids, their entire daycare costs would be subsidized. I know...I did Navy Family Childcare and I had a single mother on subsidy.
