Nancy Pelosi thinks her book tour is much more important than an "up" or "down" vote for domestic drilling.

Congress has shown their lack of respect for the very citizens who elected them to represent us. They do not deserve a vacation this year.

Please contact your Congressman/Congresswoman and tell them you won't stand for the continued shenanigans of this Democrat controlled Congress.

Bring them back in...force the vote.

She'd be blocking the vote regardless of her book.

This is a huge issue.. I think even the people want a vote on it. Playing politics is one thing but this is an issue that affects many more people than Minimum wage. Not only people that drive and pay for their gas, but airplane fares,

They don't play politics in Washington, they do it for a living.

"Trash pickup?? What's that? They still do that? If we wanted trash pickup, we'd have to hire someone to do it - and used to when we were "double income, no kids"."

I've never lived anywhere that DOESN'T do curbside trash. In fact, the last 2 places I've lived it's part of the water/sewer company.

"Minimum wage affects everyone, not just those actually making minumum wage."

You are right there. When those lower on the totem pole start making as much as I do, you can bet I'm going to want a wage increase too. Which means higher prices for products and services for everyone. No doubt, minimum wage (especially minimum wage increases) DOES affect everyone.
