Thought this was interesting. From the Vietnam Vets against John McCain:

Navy pilot John Sidney McCain III should have never been allowed to graduate from the U.S. Navy flight school.

Sorry. I disagree. Been there. Have husband whose been there multiple times. Know many many people who've been on multiple tours there and in Afghanistan.

Not similar to what John McCain experienced during 5 years at the Hanoi Hilton.

Did McCain receive treatment for PTSD?

Have you ever heard McCain blame his behavior on PTSD, or even mention it in a conversation?

Because he hasn't led anything.

Well I just asked my bipolar daughter, since she has experience living with an illness. Her opinion is that people with mental illnesses, even though they are 'treatable' should not be president. I realize she is just one person, but she is a voting adult and she does face the struggle of mental illness every day - just her opinion.

If he did indeed suffer from severe PTSD, I would think we should see that a doctor has treated him and has pronounced him mentally stable to take on such an office.

I think it is pretty lousy to demean a WAR HERO and someone who sacrificed for our country. I and, I'm sure democrats and liberals didn't like it when people did it to John Kerry back in the 04 elections, so why do it to McCain? A man who had several bones broken when his plane was shot down, a man who's bones never healed properly enough to raise his arms above his head. Yeah, great story, which I'll never read! I don't care what party the person is in, he IS a war hero a man to look up to, just like all others in our Armed forces, who sacrifice everything for our freedoms. And ya know what, at least he joined the service while others just protested, yet willingly partook of our freedoms by protesting.
