looks to me like there is a possibility that those who vote for Nader will in a round about way decide who our next president.

I STRONGLY support an idependent run ... but it does seems sometimes that it takes away what could be a very important percentage.

Bush and Kerry are neck in neck the last few days (although the last polls I saw had Bush ahead) that the 1 - 2% Nader is getting is VERY important.

Where the polls stand for now

True, true. But I get bothered when someone says that a vote for a third party, say Nader, is a wasted vote. They should vote for whomever they want. I wish there was more of a selection. I don't think Bush is all wonderful, but Kerry is definately not the answer (and Nader is just wack-o).

What I think would be interesting would be if those who truly wanted to voted for a 3rd party DID instead of being afraid it's a wasted vote and going for their 2nd choice

AND it would add a great deal of weight to the idea of getting rid of the electoral college. What would we do if noone got the requistite 270 EC votes?

Hmmm, maybe I'll vote for Nader......one second thought, no.

I voted for Perot, choices being what they were that year.
