Maybe you should follow the conversation because this is what she said:

"and cost of goods are cheaper there than here."

Funny, a lot of people in my area travel to southern NH and MA to do their grocery shopping, because even with the price of gas the groceries are cheaper down there.

I used to live where you do, there isn't much you can tell me that would change my mind that most of our every day purchases are more expensive here than there.

"not in the burbs (weston, newton, wellsley)"

And most people who live in those areas can afford to pay more - those are rich towns you're talking about.

"you have proof that NO ONE in your area makes $250k or more?"

Believe me, they would stand out.

"This is starting to get petty IMO."

I agree.

He was misquoting the Troops to Teachers program... using as an example of the military leaving active duty & jumping into good jobs.. he obviously has no idea how TTT works. I looked into participating in that program but we didn't have the cash up front to get my degree (pre-9/11 GI Bill was a reimbursement so you had to actually PAY first then get the $$ back so I couldn't afford it.)

"i haven't been following this particular conversation, but it may be of interest to you that she has one of each."

True, but I see her point - she did switch a conversation about a 13 yr old watching the debate to suddenly letting her infant watch it.

They won't believe anything out of Obama's mouth unless he says "Yes I hang out with an unrepentant terrorist & I agree with him & I pay ACORN to fake registrations & votes and Louis Farrakhan is my BFF." whether it's true or in these cases NOT. I gave up trying to argue with that sort of nonsense. lol

you clearly (from previous discussions) dislike me, and i just wish you would put me on ignore, and stop instigating with me.

you may not have noticed that i ignore you.

the only reason i am communicating with you right now is because you posted directly to me..

if you would refrain, things would be less "annoying" for both of us. as the feeling is mutual.

My 6yo couldn't care less.. she'd rather play Princess but if anyone asks her who she'd vote for of course she says Obama. My 9yo however is a very bright kid who reads at a 6th grade level and really honestly wants to know what's going on in the world, especially politics. He takes it all very seriously and wants to learn all about it. He asked me to DVR all the debates for him and he asks questions when he doesn't understand what they're talking about. I see nothing wrong with this. If you do, then I suppose that's your prerogative.
