i confess: I was in and out of the debate. this was one of the parts i did hear.

but when he talked about Palin being an advocate of special needs children - other than being the mother of a DS baby (under 1 year) - has she specifically supported anything for special needs children in her state? i didn't hear him give any examples and i don't know of any examples.

or is this new role with her change in circumstances in the past year?

yeah....i was annoyed at JM for that...in one breath he said "i don't care about a washed up old terrorist"...okay then...give it up already...

this comes from that BAIPA act, where BO was recorded (i heard it myself) saying that adding another doctor to determine if an infant that was born alive after a botched late term abortion should be receccitated....and BO said that adding a doctor for the baby's benefit would add an uneccesary "burden" on the mother who wanted to abort the pregancy.....that WAS sleazy IMO...and the thought turns my stomach

I bet some women's rights groups are going to have something to say about that.

I thought McCain's reference to "health of the mother" was his belief that there shouldn't be any exception to the ban on p.b.a. for the health of the mother.

Less than 2% of partial birth abortions are due to the 'health of the mother'.
