IMO politics, well actually the understanding of the political processes, government, current affairs

Never once did i insinuate my child is smarter than yours. I said he actually enjoys learning about the election process. My daughter OTOH does not and I said that in my post. If you want to take offense then that's your own insecurity but don't question our children's upbringings because they have different likes than yours. Each child is different and blanket statements like those you have made (on more than this one issue) are not cool. There are other ways/opinions than yours.

YOU are the one who all but called us bad parents for MAKING (your word not mine) our children watch debates instead of making the go outside (at 9pm) and play. o.O Turning this around now? Sorry I'm not buying what you're selling.

"I bet some women's rights groups are going to have something to say about that. Especially the way McCain held up his hands and put "quotation marks" around "health of the mother" as though it was a lie. McCain came across as belittling women."

That really irked me too. Did McCain read any of the books when his own wife was pregnant about all of the things that can happen over the course of a pregnancy that literally endanger the health of the mother? It was an incredibly dumb insinuation that "health" was only a political argument.

Did I miss something: you called people who let their children watch the debate or learn politics childish?
