I totally agree kids should be kids too.. I just think she was way overreacting on all accounts of this particular discussion. No one ever insinuated her kids were "ignorant" or anything but she did insinuate that we were bad mothers for letting our kids watch the debate & be a part of political discussions, like you said, IF THEY WANT. :o/ *shrug* everyone is entitled to their POV.

If it is only allowed when the mother's health is in jeopardy, then physicians should be the one to make that determination, not the rest of us or Congress.

But isn't that what doctors do every single day when they look at their patient and tell them that unfortunately, it's their life or the life of their baby, and they need to induce labor/perform an emergency c-section?

I feel like some actress is going to come out and say "I'm not a real victim, I just play one on TV"

No one said nor implied you were an awful mother, simply that WE are not bad mothers for letting our kid do what the enjoy doing.

You started this entire subthread by impling that WE were bad parents, and when folks defend their decision and simply say their kids DO like politics you think YOU are being picked on?

Sheesh --
