"If either John McCain or Sarah Palin or another prominent Republican or prominent conservative had been at a party, basically in honor of somebody who is a terror apologist, at which terrorists were front and center in attendance, one can't even imagine the thought that the mainstream media, including the LA Times, would not only release that tape but actually fill us for days if not weeks with story after story about the gory details of it," McCarthy contends.

McCain donated almost $500,000 to the foundation begun by Khalidi, who does not support the P.L.O. by the way.

I'm confused by this.

Palestinian = terrorist???

Just because there a terrorist who use Palestian issues as justifications for violence doesn't mean that Palestians are the eqivalent to al quaeda, any more than Tim McVeigh's OKC attack is an indictment on all whites or Christians or individuals who have expressed anger at the government.

I don't know how in the WORLD "bomb, bomb, bomb Iran" can be dismissed when spoken by a presidential candidate, but a speech by a private citizen that was critical of a government friendly to US is considered "hate-speech". Has anyone condemned any of the veterans who attended the rally where McCain made that "joke"?

ITA with this statement. This guilt-by-association thing is getting ludicrous. If people made assumptions about my beliefs and views based on all the people I'd "had associations with" in the past, meaning people I've worked with, had dinner with, listened to respectfully even if I disagreed with, then let's see....I would be considered sympathetic to racism, homophobia, illegal drug-use, alcoholism, oh and to Bush's policies. Just to name a few. You can't fix problems in the world unless you first understand them. This requires being willing to listen with an open mind to people from all walks of life. In my mind, Obama's willingness to do this is only a POSITIVE reflection on his character.

This may be one of the things that Obama was afraid would come out and one of the reasons (besides sliding through voter fraud) he was urging people to vote early.
