Well, I didn't vote for him, so I'm not particularly disappointed.

He hasn't done much, although he has finally broken the stranglehold of police on being "flagmen", which will save the state a bundle.

But, by the same token, the MA Legislature does pretty much what they want.

I think he is following up on his campaign promises, but, as will happen to anyone, it's not going easily.

I disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure

yes, those Woburn police made a really bad showing for themselves.

Yes, Tim Murray would become Gov.

I worry some for the flag men should the law change.

i thought it did change? and that was the deal in Woburn?

how is it in other states, they all use flagmen? i wonder if those flagmen have issues....

you know...untill a few years ago when the issue came up, i hadn't even realized that all flagmen were officers, i saw construction men directing traffic often times, and the police officer was present, but the other men were doing the directing.

i hand't even realized that the police HAD to be there....i thought it was more of a case-by-case basis that they were needed,

I've never been a huge Deval fan and I did not vote for him.

Wow I had no idea about the flagmen issue over there... in NY we have STRICT laws regarding construction crew safety. No need for police to be there.. people occasionally disobey those laws but they are heavily enforced including the double-ticket one. If you get a ticket in a work zone the ticket is immediately doubled. Road crew jobs are coveted here & you actually have to *know someone* to get the job.. GREAT pay & benefits and as I said.. big time crew safety laws.
