So, he was a lawyer for the DOJ. I'm a lawyer and work for a company and take their position. When you are employed as an attorney by the government you have to take the government's position.

Have you even read the case? It's not quite as you described. The school board in the case made the decision to let the white teacher go becasue they had diversity as a priority. Previously, they had used a coin flip to decide. One of them had to go-the school board decided-the white person complained-the DOJ supported the right of the school board to decide.

I thought right wing zealots wanted local control.

In any case, it was Patrick's position-it was the position of his employer, the US DOJ.

Well, I have never compared the two. I think he's done OK-not a huge fan or a huge detractor. Certainly better than Romney and Healy. The MA legislature is quite difficult so I'm willing to cut him some slack. I do think he's trying and at least he pays attention to us out in the Berkshires since he has a house out here. Most state office holders think the state ends in Worchester.

The difference is that he was, I believe, although I may be mistaken, the head of that group within Justice, so it was his call.

Psst....most of the rest of the nation managed just fine, you guys will figure out the whole flagman thing -- though I will admit being very surprised at the drivers in Boston.....and then I moved to Pakistan, we just don't have anything in the nation quite like driving in the subcontinent.

Pssst! I know, but my dh could end up on flag man duty and I don't know how many we will need to loose before we figure it out.

I disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure

There are worse drivers in the world than those in Massachusetts?

We just have the worst drivers in the developed world, with the possible exception of Rome
