Obama raps McCain for ignorance of his own houses

WASHINGTON - John McCain may have created his own housing crisis.

Hours after a report that the Republican presidential nominee-in-waiting didn't know how many homes he and his multimillionaire wife own, Democratic rival Barack Obama launched a national TV ad and a series of campaign stops aimed at portraying McCain as wealthy and out of touch.

With the economy the top issue in the race, Obama sought to turn McCain's gaffe into one of those symbolic moments that stick in voters' minds

That makes a lot of sense. It was hard to track. I'd expect to be called by my username so I thought I was missing something!

Actually I was giving you the benefit of the doubt. You speak with forked tongue.

On the one hand it's OK for you to insult a whole generation of young military men and women because of an experience your husband had in his earlier years of service as a quartermaster officer. But then somehow I'm told that when I said it's surprising to hear of a soldier who couldn't read and guessed it might be an infantry soldier because they have the lowest entry requirements/ASVAB scores that's a fact that is somehow insulting. OK.

Yes. I know comptrollers are functional area specialities.

Oh and in the combat arms field (not the combat service support branches your husband was always part of)--it's an endearing term to refer to a soldier as a "troop". Not being from a combat branch that might be foreign to you. Not an insult just a fact. You were the one attempting to throw out an insult. My experience with military officer wives has mostly involved those from the combat and combat support branches and not the rear echelon types.

<< It would state in the lending agreement that the mortgage rate could go up each year as mortgage rates go up.

I don't see where she's doing that at all.

Jamamm,

Or maybe you really meant there are a few favored posters who are allowed to get away with thinly veiled insults? Do a track back and see where it started. I try to give others the benefit of the doubt. I see that's not the norm when it comes to some of the oldies here.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Well, I've always believed that if you can't say anything nice, you shouldn't say anything at all.

No, we shouldn't be concerned about how many houses he has, it's the fact that he doesn't know how many he has and he guffawed in front of thousands of people.
