My 70 yr. old Father was in excellent health and he died from a freak accident with his lawn tractor. People can be in excellent health and still drop dead from heat attacks or strokes.

I'm not a fan of the man, but I'm glad to hear he is seemingly in good health.

What on EARTH is your point? That Clinton could have a freak accident in the June Primaries??

My point is that it dosen't matter if McCains Dr. says he is in excellent health, he could still die from a heart attack or stroke before he would leave office. Hopefully he will NOT win the election! I've about had it with Republicans! Why did you think I was talking about Clinton, I didn't even mention Clinton!

Indeed.

I realize that about freak accidents. I guess I was just thinking about my Father because he was 70 when he died. My step-mom said he had just gotten a clean bill of health, soooo who knows if he may have suffered some sort of health problem to have CAUSED him to have his accident with his John Deere. I'm just saying clean bills of health don't mean you won't necessairly die or suffer complications of some sort just because your Dr. says you were fine. BTW, she wouldn't let them do an autopsy

And MY point is, you are right...freak accidents CAN happen to ANYONE. Why on earth you would say that in a conversation about McCain is beyond me *unless* you are trying to insinuate because of his age he's *more* susceptible to a freak accident...which would make NO sense at all given the definition of a "freak accident".

I mentioned Clinton because I was picking a democrat. I could have just as easily said the same thing about Obama, as could have you.

Freak accidents can happen to anyone, but serious medical events are statistically much more likely to occur in the plus 70 set, e.g. stroke, heart attack, cancer

I get that. Never doubted it.

She was talking about a freak tractor accident. WTH does that have to do with *anyone's* age?

Oh silly me. I think I know EXACTLY what the intention was.
