Most of us realize that health insurance is broken.

How is the Obama healthcare plan going to raise your taxes?

I can, but I am a hiring manager I have to impute the cost healthcare when I hire anyone as part of the total offer.

I can figure them out. It's in b&w in the health plan I chose from the menu my employer offers.

How so? IMO, basic healthcare is a right, not a privilege. How is it right that I have access to affordable premium coverage through my employer, with significant pre-existing conditions, but if I was self-employed, I'd be screwed.

I'm not against education, I'm against the insurance companies and big pharma controlling the agenda as they have lately.

You think you won't pay higher taxes under McCain's plan- think again.

I am certainly not a scholar of the constitution or the bill of rights, but do not recall basic health care as a right.

What part of "IMO" did you miss in my comment?

You're totally self-insured, no insurance at all? Wow? How does that work if you have chronic or catastrophic illness?

I've had insurance for years and I've also had several catastrophic incidents, though no chronic illness. Just my back luck I guess, but I have incurred hundreds of thousands in medical costs, thank god I had insurance. Guess I mucked up the works for the other premium insured.

Hmm. . . From a Democrat's perspective, I would say the media favors the Republicans! We don't have a news channel like FOX that completely slants things to match our ideology!
