I think that if he is moving towards this model, that I'm impressed.

I might be mistaking you for someone else, and if so, forgive me.

For someone who supports/defends Obama's tax plan, how can you possibly agree with a flat tax?

That's actually been proved to be a regressive tax, since the percentage would affect the poor much more than the rich.

I'm adamantly opposed to Obama's tax plan as I think it's unfair and will provide a form of welfare for the 40% who already

I'm not a supply side believer so Forbes flat tax would be a negative for me.

McCain already has my vote.....but this would make even better sence for our Country in it's current economic situation :)

I hope he really goes for it....I must say that I DO believe that if he says he will adopt this policy then he will.

I'm not trying to be hateful, but would it really be helpful to move to "The Fair Tax"?

Somehow I don't have a lot of faith in Keynsians... they've been wrong far more often than they've been right...

Further, he's telling some obvious falsehoods in his material:

It is anticipated it would be very bad for this industry, and there is a very strong lobby out there protecting these jobs.

I don't work for anyone right now, but I prepare taxes for free for family right now.

Can someone tell me please....under a flat tax rate....are there deductions allowed and such....or do you simply pay it as is. Whiel a 17% flat rate would be a gift to the upper class.....to the lower class that is a lot of income they depend on...as they have much much less discretionary income. I really don't understand the flat tax rate...or fair tax for that matter. Would it benefit more than high income people? TIA
