McCain To Obama: Leave Limbaugh Alone!»
Over the past week, the fealty of GOP lawmakers to hate radio host Rush Limbaugh has become increasingly clear. They have been reluctant to criticize his comment that he hopes Obama fails, and those who have spoken out have been forced to retract their statements and beg forgiveness from the hate radio host.
Today on Fox and Friends, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) further circled the wagons, saying that Obama shouldn’t have made critical remarks about Limbaugh (which were made in a private meeting with Republicans and then leaked to the press):
McCAIN: I don’t know why he would do that. Mr. Limbaugh is a voice of a significant portion of our conservative movement in America. He has a very wide viewing audience. He is entitled to his views, and he has a lot of people who listen very carefully to him. I don’t know why that the President would take him on.

I guess I'm also curious as to when we've seen Obama do this?
How is a comment made behind closed doors, to a specific group of people (who then, in turn, go to the press) a threat against Rush and the stations that carry him? Obama didn't call a press conference and tell the world to stop listening to Rush "or else."
Personally, I think it's a valid point.
I interperate his comment to be that if you don't "shut that guy up" I might not continue to play so nice.
Wow!
"Wow!
Oh, so I take it all of you are Republicans???
So you are a DEMOCRAT?
What is up with this?
I am not normally heated over this kind of stuff, but when I read all of these replies, it seems as if this board needs to be called Republican Moms and not Mom's & Politics.
Yes you are right and I am not blind to the fact that when one is feeling a bit defensless, they tend to be more defensive....does that make sence?
"I guess I've just never felt defenseless when it comes to my government, so it is difficult for me to understand someone else feeling that way about it."
This is the first time I have ever felt this way and I will say that I at least feel good about President Obama at the moment being at the helm.
It really is a weird feeling, but sometimes letting go of the reins takes you places that you never expected to go :)
So true, lol!
