I was a stay at home but I recognize it's not what's best for all women. I don't understand why because she or other women may make different choices that it makes our choice better or more responsible.
If you really respect other women and their right to choose the lifestyle that is best for them then I don't know how you can suggest they are shortchanging their children. I think it's easy to fall into the trap of thinking "because it was what was best for me and my baby" that it's automatically what's best for another family.
I knew it was only a matter of time that we'd hear the whole....she belong home with her baby mantra.
I can only assume that this obviously hard working and dynamic women cares very much for her family and she must value her children--she had five of them. I had two because I knew it was what I could comfortably handle. That doesn't make one of us more right than the other because if I were her, I might just have five too.
I don't know how anyone could have anything but admiration for the woman. I feel the same way about Hillary Clinton. But then again I've never felt threatened or jealous of powerful women. Not to suggest you are but there are those who will be.
***>>I am tired of pessimists and cynics that hate the government.<<
But yet you want to grow it larger and extend their authority even further?
What a contradiction.***
I am not pessimistic about the ability of the government to get things done, I am not cynical of hope and inspirational speeches that call people and the government to action to solve the many problems this country is facing right now. So how is that a contradiction? What I am sick of are people (general) who say that nothing can be done to solve these problems, that the government cannot do anything right.
"It doesn't diminish the questionable choices she made getting on a plane in early preterm labor to go to a speech in Texas and then flying home to deliver. I'm sure glad she made it home and sure glad I wasn't on the plane with her and possibly having to divert for her to deliver."
You are relating the events in the wrong order.
I was thinking about all of this last night and realized it's stupid! None of us are being any better then the politicians are. Really, we attack each others' canidate like our candidates
I don't think you live in igloos.
I don't care what Bill Clinton did to get his rocks off.
Well I don't want my husband deployed anymore, so you send your and then you'll be authorized to speak on the war,OK. Just following your line of thought. BTW~~~ referring to us as Dems instead of people is really getting on my nerves. Like you said
