who made the assumption that only those who have btdt can speak on things that effect everyone in this country.
It's not an assumption it's an opinion.
"How can someone who has never been to Iraq say how it really is over there??"
I don't think ANYONE on this board has attempted to say what it is "really like over there".
It seems you don't even care about the topic you just want to argue the war. Maybe you should find a board dedicated primarily to debate the war. We were talking about Palin and from what I have read, you have nothing to offer to the debate but your bitter opinions on the war.
Most of that post didn't make any sense.
"So your brother has been in Iraq since 2002 without coming home? Wow, I'd say he does have authority. What's he do that he has been there so long?? I have never heard f anyone going six times, that's amazing."

Hmmm, I thought I posted a link from 06 that Palin said that she was for the war on terrorism (not specifically the war on Iraq....which I think are two different things) and that she was in favor of having an exit plan in place for Iraq (didn't specify HOW she thought that should happen though).
"The US has been out there since BEFORE 2002."
I think that is the part she was missing.....I also think that b/c when I mentioned my dh being deployed MORE when Clinton was in office then he is now with the war....she made the statement about only counting deployments to "war zones"....that makes me think she was implying that there was basically nothing going on over there prior to THIS "war".
I don't think ANYONE on this board has attempted to say what it is "really like over there".
