My BIL
My husband is back and he is wondering what is your BIL's time in theater. He says one can have several deployments
While I do agree that her behavior while pg was a little strange (flying after water has broken AND this is your 5th baby is weird, babies come really fast typically when they are the 5th one) I don't really believe it since the baby has DS and that typically happens to older Moms.
I will say (ducking to avoid anything that is being thrown at me) that I don't like the fact that she is the candidate since she has a small baby. IMO it perpetuates the myth that women can have successful careers while raising small children. It's not that simple and usually someone suffers, this baby IMO should have his Mom at home with him. I really doubt that she will be able to really take care of her baby while campaigning.
>>First off, you and katieandzachsmom need to read the posts or something. Because, I didn't even bring up the war except to state that Palin's ds was being deployed. And secondly the "authorized to speak on the war" comment came from katieandzachsmom <<
You've done the same thing, so perhaps you should heed your own advice-----you addressed a whole long post to me on things I never said.

Ya know...what doesn't make sense to me about this whole daughters baby theory is:
If this was indeed her dd's baby and her dd called her while she was in TX saying "I think I might be in labor"......WHY would she say that her water had broke and that she flew to AK to deliver risking the negative public opinion that may follow?
No, ITA that a SAHD is great, I think the important thing is that a baby is taken care of by Mom or Dad. Let's face it though, most of the time it is not the man that has to choose whether to work or stay home but rather the woman. Most men are not secure enough to stay home while the woman works. (I will brag on my DH though, he was a SAHD for over a year while I worked :) We have managed to have one of us at home with all 3 of our kids so far). I am NOT talking about women who do not have the choice to stay home b/c they need the income btw).
