I don't disagree - but then again, the same can be said for Obama, and there's no time to learn

For those of you who don't remember, Carter was an absolute disaster.

I remember 12% interest rates and 10% inflation.

Considering that I don't think my governor and the govenor of Alaska likely share more than the R after their name, that surprises me.

But interestingly the 30 billion dollar pipeline project, with 500 million in incentives, was farmed out to a Canadian company by Palin. Now I like Canada and Canadians, I use to visit Canada on weekends when I lived in Michigan as a child, but such for such a major project to be sent out of the country don't we lose enough jobs? It would really have been coup if she could have kept the job in the US with US companies.

I think Bush shows conclusively that "the right schools" (e.g., Harvard , like Obama) doesn't necessarily count for much.

As for Carter, he took the problems Nixon (and Ford) left behind, and made them worse.

So, even if the foreign company can do the job better and cheaper, you'd rather saddle the taxpayers with higher costs and poorer product to give people jobs?

Where is the proof that a foreign company can do a 'better job and cheaper'? China can do nearly everything cheaper - as can Mexico, India, and the long list of other countries to which we have shipped off jobs. Part of the cost of a job is paying a living wage to the workers remember so because workers are paid dollars per day or per week in another country the 'cost' would be less. Does that make it right? Maybe you would feel differently if your job was sent to another country.

Just shows that she doesn't care about keeping our jobs HERE, in the US.

And this decision gives us some idea of her thoughts on at least part of one issue that has national significance -- the loss of jobs under the current economy.
