I'm baffled......people say that they want change.
***Obama and Biden (Boys from Washington...***
So when it suits your purposes Obama is a Washington Boy, but when it doesn't he has no experience and has barely done anything. Give me a break.
***So we get a woman VP candidate who has taken on big oil and won***
What exactly did she do to take on big oil and how did she win? As far as I know her husband works for BP in some capacity and she wants to drill in ANWR, way to take it to 'em.
I do not like her because I do not like her stand on the issues and I think the way she has handled her family life shows poor judgement, which I am entitled to think and make a decision about how I vote on. Please do not throw crap at me about women and choices, she has had choices and I think she has made poor ones. I think it shows poor judgement to go to TX to give a speech when that close to a due date (especially in a high risk pregnancy, which hers would have been because of both her age and the baby's condition), I think it shows really poor judgement to get on a plane after her water had broken, I really do not care if she was in active labor or not, as soon as the water breaks the timeclock is ticking and once the plane is in the air you lose control of the situation. I am pretty sure there are wonderful hospitals in TX where she could have gotten wonderful care. I think it shows poor judgement to thrust her daughter into the national limelight during what has to be a difficult time for her personally, and someone who would encourage her 17 year old daughter to marry the 17 year old father, who sounds just delightful BTW from what was written on his my space account (as reported by the New York Times).
No. How would you expect me to know you had a son unless you admitted having a son? How would I have possibly known how old your son was?
You must think I have some supernatural powers but I can assure you that is not the case. I responded based on the information you provided. It is really that simple. So I guess you're going to have to my word for it. I'm done discussing it now. If you really think I was picking on your three year old feel free to tell on me.
Add to that a change in the opposite direction of where I want the nation to go is indeed a case of "change -- but not that change".
When we libs say we want change, we really don't want to change back to the 1950s.

I'm with you and hopefully she is tough enough to deal with all this.
" But when something totally different comes along we say we want change.....but not that change. "
Or maybe democrats don't feel any obligation to meet the comic-book distillation of their criteria for change. Hey, picking someone who supports mandatory arranged marriages for 5 year olds would be quite a change, but most dems would oppose that too. So, yea, *HUGE* surprise that the actual change being proposed matters - and that they don't care about the race, religion or gender of the individual, but only whether they will effect changes that will make a real and worthwhile difference.
And by the way, her "standing up to oil companies" earns a giant eye-roll. It makes for good sound-bites, though, for the 10 second attention span of the anti-bammers.
I'm with you and hopefully she is tough enough to deal with all this.
