Yep. My mom called and reversed a claim made to Medicare for a procedure that had not been done on her. They were shocked, said, why do you care, you don't have to pay for it. Old does not equal stupid, they found out...

I have found that same attitude over and over again in many venues when the money involved doesn't belong to the person making the comment.

Kudos to your mom!

But in reality she is rare. Most people really don't care when it's not their money involved. I don't like seeing anybody's money wasted or misused and I'm glad to know there are a few people out there who think the same.
